My question involves criminal law for state of: Vriginia

Im 18 and got caught for shoplifting in Macy's today. It totaled to be around $80 so i will be charged as a misdemeanor. In the past when i was a juvenile i was charged with shoplifting but they let me off with just taking this class and community service and they said it wouldnt go on my record. What should i do?? What do you think my sentence will be?

Also my friend was involved too but she has a clean record what do you think her sentence will be?? will it be the same?

It is unlikely that you will qualify for diversion again, as you are not a first offender.

No one here can tell you what your sentence will be. Show up for court, plead Not Guilty, and ask for a Public Defender. Then do what the lawyer tells you to do.
