Default Police Returned My Cell, Could It Be Bugged

My question involves search and seizure law in the State of: CA

I got search warrant about 4 months ago. Police seized my computers, cellphone, and documents. Today, they returned my cell phone stated that they haven't found anything that could incriminate me, but they still need more time to review my computers and documents.

    My questions:

    1. Maybe I am overreacting in this, but is it safe to use my cell phone now? Is it possible that my cell phone is bugged so they can tap all my calls?

    2. They have time-frame when approximately to return my computers. I also asked what about my documents (business documents, passport, etc)? They said they cannot give any time frame on this. Why is this?

Can somebody tell me why it takes so long?

I wouldn't use that cell phone for anything illegal that's for sure.

It takes so long because the police are not a business that produces a product they are a form of government bureaucracy thus inherently inefficient.

Bureaucracy is therefore always a cost to society, but this cost may be accepted insofar as it makes social order possible, and maintains it by enforcing the rule of law.

Possible, sure, but only authority of a court order. DESTROY it and buy another one if you want.

There is bright line time frame. If after a reasonable amount of time you feel any investigation is or should have been concluded, request the return of your property. If they do not give it back, you can always consider requesting a court order.

Oops, what I meant to say was, there is NO bright line time frame. In other words, there is no specific law to say property MUST be returned within X amount of time.
