My question involves expungements or pardons for the state of: Texas
Last year, my son was cited for a curfew vioation ( Class C Misdemeanor) when he was 16 years old. He pleaded no contest and paid the fine.
We were told by the court that we could petition to have this offense expunged from his record after he turned 17 years old.
I called the Municipal Court and was told that I would have to have an attorney handle this, which doesn't seem right.
My question: Is it worth going through the trouble and expense of getting this done? Is this something that will come back to haunt him later in life?
Thanks in advance.
