My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Florida
My situation started eight years ago when i found a house me and my fiance liked and applied for a loan.
we could not come to terms to obtain a mortgage so a friend of mine offered and susequently purchased the property paying cash.
we had no agreement other then when i could afford to i would pay him back for the money spent in other words i owed him 80.000
after about five years i still did not pay him so he said why don't we just figure about 500.00 a month rent and i agreed verbally.
he never collected any rent, just never asked for it, but i did pay the taxes and insurance on the property
now he wants me to sign an agreement that i owe him 150000 what are my options ?
