    Default Taking landlord to small causes court

    i rented a place with a person who signed the lease
    i did not sign any leases etc

    i paid him 500 for one months rent
    250 for half of last months rent

    after 2 weeks he announced he is moving out in two months
    after another week he announces he wants to move out in a month

    due to his unstable mental condition, lound music at 3 am..him playign the guitar in the middle of the nite..i had to call the police once..i decided i was not safe there...so i finally moved in 3 weeks of bieng there

    question:

    can i take him to small causes court to ask for at least 25o dollars back

    i am in seattle..i paid by check which has the info..thanks so much

    Default Constructive Eviction

    You could attempt a "constructive eviction" claim in small claims court, asking for the unused rent money to be repaid.
