My elderly parents and sister went into parnership with a buying a house. My parents would make the payments for 3 years and it was an ivestment for my sister.
My sister bought another house which she is currenly living in. now...
Well the first house which my elderly parents was forclosed....
they lost it.....
They offered them cash for keys to get out..which they took to move in a rentlal.
Who does this cash for keys money belong to?????
It was my understanding from the realtor that it was for move out cost only.
Not for ownship ....who owned the house because all investments were lost when it went into forclosure....
It was for the occupents of the house to move out and move quickly
Please clear this out t for me.....because my sister who is in her house
says that cash for keys money belongs half to her....
even though she didnt live in the house or made payments...and she lost part ownership when it was forclosed.
This is causing much strife...so if you can clear this up I would appreciately greatly as far as a legal point..
thank you!
