Default Questionable Content on a MySpace Page

My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of: Illinois

Ok, So I may not be in the right category, but my friend is divorced and the father of 3. Him and his ex have several issues. She is remarried and from what i have heard and from what I understand, if she speaks to my friend and the father of her children, her ex and this new husband finds out causes issues, such as abuse physical and verbal. (however I have never seen this for myself) Long story short, his ex and her new husband were to be divorced by December. She also has one child with another man, previous to my friend. That little girl went to school and said something to a teacher about her mom's husband and how mean he is to her mom as well as her and her brother and sisters. By law, as she should, the teacher reported the incident to DCFS. DCFS then put a restraining order against this man, not allowing him to be near the children or their mother. Recently, we found that my friends ex and her new husband formed a MySpace account together, in the account are pictures of the two of them (some nude, who was taking these?) and pictures of one of the children. Also, in text this other man is claiming to be the father of these kids, mind you my friend pays a good amount in child support monthly, and this man nor my friends ex have jobs, therefore they are living solely off child support from others. The last login dates are within the last few days. I'm very sorry if this is confusing, but my questions are: Could this be anonomously turned into DCFS in order to keep the childrens best interest at heart? and Also, would this pose as a valid case to keep them in a safe environment? I sincerely feel as if the current situation is not a good one for these kids. They deserve a stable living environment and deserve to not be afraid of their caretaker. I am just asking because my friend has no clue of all of this that has been going on. However, I don't want him to feel as if anyone is butting into his business. SO, I am just wondering if there would be a valid case if the situation were to be turned in anonomously. Any help you can offer would help.. thanks!

If you're asking if the case would receive the same level of investigation if turned in anonymously, yes it would. The validity of the case will depend on what can be shown to be detremental to the children. It's not relevent that two adults posted nudes of themselves, unless the children were somehow tied to the photos (like being in the background, or somehow one of the children was suspected as being the photographer). The other issue is one for the child support fraud office.

My concern is that the children may have been taking the photos, they live with my friends exes father and the kids, who took them? But my concern is not mainly about the pictures, it is the fact that there are restraining orders against this man being near the kids and he is. If we can prove that he has been with them and around them, while having a restraining order in place, can they get in trouble?

If there is a R/O on the man then chances are there is an open case already depending on how long ago that happened. I personally if in your shoes would make the call and give the url to the child abuse hotline worker so they could view the page and decide if it needs further looked into. They also if they believe this man is around the kids question them and make a few pop in visits. What the outcome will be who knows it depends on what they find but chances are they will look into things because 1) there might still be an open case and 2) due to a previously open case the risk is greater and they do usually go out for that.
