Default Giving False Name To Police Office While On Probation

I gave a false name to a police officer while i was on (JUVINILE felony) probation, they did not arrest me, but they gave me a yellow slip saying i must be appear in a Criminal Superior Court. I am suprise my P.O has not found out yet. Would this be consider as a violation? I have court in a couple of days. What do u think will happen? what do u think my sentencing will be? I am now also consider to be an adult because i committed this a couple of month after my 18th birthday. I also have a strike, but that was when i was 17 would that affect this any how?

    I would appreciate your help.

    Default False Information to Police

Giving a false name to the police is not only going to be a violation of your probation (as, in all likelihood, was the conduct which got you arrested), it may get you charged with an additional criminal offense. Consult a criminal defense lawyer.

I've just realized that this is move severe then i thought. Lying to a police officer is also a moral turpitude crime. Which i believe will affect me if i am trying to seal my record, which i am. Now I am not 100 percent sure that if i was convicted of this. Is there a possibility they had lower the charges? I'm still looking for the paper work. Is there anyone I can talk to, to help me see what i was convicted of?

You better report it to your P.O. ....Not reporting run-ins with the law is a violation in of itself. The P.O. WILL find out about it eventually.

Your court file is available at the courthouse, although it may be archived in which case it may take time for you to be able to see it. They can be expected to charge for copies, should you want anything copied.
