My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: WASHINGTON
I received a ticket while I was taking a friend to the Hospital in Kirkland, WA.
I am choosing to contest the hearing. I requested discovery and was able to obtain a copy of the officer’s sworn statement which does not mention that I told the officer I was on my way to the closest emergency room. It does however mention that I told him I recently had new tires put on my truck which may be affecting my speed. I don’t understand why he would make note of my tires but not mention that I was going to the hospital...
Does an officer have to list on the back of the ticket that I was in route to the ER? Can I/should I still bring this to the judges attention?
Thank you for your help in advance!
