Question United Healthcare Adopting Medicare MAA Rate

My question involves insurance law for the state of: California
We have a non-par client that recently was told by UH that, for now on their members benefits will payout under a Medicare rate that will pay 65% MAA. If they are non-par what is the advice or dispute regarding their Medicare rate. I would appreciate any help.

Is your client non-par for Medicare or UHC?

Basically, UHC using Medicare's fee scheule at 65%. When Medicare cuts their payments to Physicians, as predicted for the next few years, then UHC can follow suit.

If your client is non-par with UHC, they are not obligated to accept the fee as payment in full and can balance bill the patient.

Hope this info was helpful and what you were looking for.
