Default Sixteen-Year-Old Mother Leaves Her Home and Child for Days. What Can Be Done

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Misissippi

Julia got married to a 28 year old man. Little over a year ago. At the age of 15. And they got a child year old. Julia parents signed for them to get married. I think because of some abuse in the home,. So maybe Julia wouldn’t say anything. It was a really good marriage her husband gave her plenty of space and loved her a lot. Gave her anything she needed. And she was a really got Mom. But all of a sudden one day she left her husband and baby. Nobody knew where she was. Then she came back home. But now her mom got to keep the child because the husband has to work. And Julia just comes and goes as she pleases and stay gone for sometimes several days.. My question is.. Can anything be done. Can her husband report her missing. Can she be made to move in with her family. She only 16 and I’m worried something could happen to her.

at the time. i felt like nothing was wrong with it. you could never look at her tell she
under 18. i diagnosed with major depressive disorder. and would grave attention from who ever would give it to me. now that i been on medicine for a while i"m really starting to see how wrong this was. and i fel terrible for what i did. but in the end.. I'm the only one that really care about her. she comes back all the time. but after a couple of days she takes off again. i just dont understand how her mama could allow this, the police. and the state let us get married.

It's hard to know what you're trying to achieve here. If grandma is taking care of the baby, because neither you nor mom want to shoulder that responsibility, then it can hardly be said that mom's abandoning the child - from what you have said, it appears to b your mutual choice to let grandma take care of the child.

If your concern is that your wife floats in and out of the house, doing as she pleases, treating you more like a hotelier or a babysitter than as a spouse... well, she's sixteen, and I doubt that anybody who's dealt with teenagers is going to be surprised by that. Neither maternity nor marriage will transform a teenager into an adult. You may have been happy during the time you thought you were being a perfect husband, but it seems more than safe to infer that she was not.

If she's not missing, there's no point in "reporting her missing". If the marriage isn't working out, there's always the option of divorce.

You really need to read this yahoo's other post to get the full story.

His teenage wife left him and he was then charged for going after another teen.

This isn't quite as cut and dried as it sounds... and yes, that was sarcasm.

we going to get a divorce, all Im asking about here is. is she now free to do as she please? stay gone for days without telling anyone where she's at. and as far as our child goes. i wanted to keep him but i work away from home during the week.. only home on the weekend
