Post Pink Summons Case Sealed, Never Went to Court

My question involves criminal law for the state of: new york

i received a pink summons to appear in court for riding my Bike on the sidewalk. i missed the court date and after calling the courts have been told that my case has been sealed. The receptionist said i would receive info in the mail regarding the case. however, they do not have my correct address.

my questions are, what does this mean to have a sealed case? has the case been dismissed?

how can i update my information with the courts? should i bother? will they be sending me a fine?

thank you so much for your time.

I have no idea what the clerk meant. You haven't given us anywhere near enough information to even begin guessing. Ask the clerk.

If you've been instructed to give the court your current address, moreso if you previously intentionally gave the court or the police false information, it's wise to give them your actual address so that you learn of court proceedings. Otherwise, expect a bench warrant.
