I'm on a moot court team at my university (still in my undergrad, going to law school next year)...and I'm a guy who has long hair (for a guy). I'm also from Alabama, a historically conservative state.
We are going to an invitational tournament where the case will be presided by actual judges and lawyers. Now, my hair isn't extremely long, when it's straightened out it probably extends below my collar an inch or so...not long enough to touch my back, but not short enough to not touch my collar.
Anyway, since I can maintain it and keep it out of my face, I didn't think it was a problem, and it doesn't look too bad, I love my long hair. But everyone the team is given me crap about it...to the point that I made a bet with the other team's team captain, saying that if I lost more than two points this WHOLE tournament because of my long hair I would cut it.
Do you think that lawyers/judges are really going to care, especially when it's not a REAL court setting? Let me know what everyone thinks.
