My husband and I bought a duplex on 2 1/2 acres 6 months ago. 2 months later the same seller sold a house on ten acres. This house is right next to ours. The people who bought it had a survey done and the entire house is on our property. It is taking up over half an acre of our land. My husband pulled the permits for both houses and all the permits were pulled on our address. The sale 6 months ago is the first time that the properties were sold seperately. The assessors office said that we are going to be taxed for the house. What are our rights in this case?
