Question Collecting Spousal Support in California

My question involves divorce in the State of: California

Husband and I divorced in 1998, I had a temp spousal support order. No settlement was ever made for divorce. (long story) Husband only paid one spousal support payment. Now this past Oct. he passed away. He has a Living trust. Is there a way for me to collect the past years unpaid spousal support from his Estate? Thanks for any answers.

Has an estate been opened? Is it still open? Have you made a claim?
