I moved to US with my family when i was 12 years old. For 6 years i was there illegally as well as my parents. Because my parents didnt have a visa for themselves or either for me i applied for a student visa after i turned 18 in order to start college. I succesfully graduated high school and had no criminal record and was advised by my immigration lawyer to apply for a student visa in order to enter college. My application was denied, but i truly believe it was because of my parents illegal status. I moved there as a child, didnt have a choice and wasnt aware of my status. After being denied, homeland security collected all my details but they did not have to deport me because i already had a plane ticket scheaduled. I'm not completely aware of what exact deportation is because they just told me i had to leave on that day that my flight was scheaduled. I am very sad about this because i didn't have a choice as a child when i moved there and i feel like i didnt have a chance to explain my self and my situation. Truthfully, what wa si suppos to do...my parents decided to move there but they were there illegaly. I wanted to know if anyone feels that i will truly have a chance to re-enter after my explantaion or if my case doesnt have any potential. Please, any informatio on this would mean alot to me.
Thank you.
