In September of 2005 my father was hospitalized for surgery. While in ICU he had breathing complications due to his trac tube and when he used his call button no one respoded. He saw a nurse standing in his doorway talking to a security officer so he was banging on his bed to get her attention and she ignored him. His nurse that had been helping him that night finally walked passed and heard his distress call. He told her what happened and she said she did not know why the other nurse ignored him. The next morning he wrote down what happened and I complained to the charge nurse and she said she would handle it. (not acting very sympathetic) My father has since passed away, but I would still like to file a formal complaint if I am able to. I still have his written testimony of that night. Any help would be appreciated.
