    Default Runaway

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: washington and North Carolina

my gf lives in washington and her mother has full custody of her and treats her like shit i even have texts of her telling me that her punishment is that she cannot eat because it is a "priveledge" to eat. and her step dad beats her and "touches" her even has tried to make her give him oral before. he has once beat her so bad she had to go to the hospital bec he rebroke her rib and caused internal bleeding and she told the hospital what happened and the cops investigated but the mom lied to the cops saying that she was lying and she has problems. i was wondering if htere was anyway i can get her to me legally she is 16 very motivated and can easily get a job and she is very inteligent too and i am 18 she lives in washington and i live in north carolina i met her over the summer so its not like i dont know who she is. if there is not a legal way to do it then if she was to runaway without me knowing and all of a sudden show up at my door could i possibly be charged if she was caught before she was 18? thank you any help would be greatly appreciated

No, there is no way for your 16 year old girlfriend to run away to you without her being put in juvie and you facing charges of your own.

Take it from the father of a teenager... they are prone to drama... especially against their parents.

If she is being abused, she should inform a counselor at school or seek help from child protective services. 1-800-4-A-CHILD.
