My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: New Jersey, Borough of Wanaque, I was given a summons for parking my Van in my parking spot in our Apt complex supposedly because my van was in a state of disrepair which it was not, it was in good running condition and I just didn't register it because I haven't been using it for a couple of years and we were trying to save money for moving since the borough bought the complex and wanted to develop it and they were throwing us out. I spoke with the Borough Administrator who issued the ticket and explained to him the facts mentioned above but he still insist that I go to court and pay the fines. Why will I pay fines for a false citation? What are my recourse? I donated my van to childrens charities and have them state in the paperwork that it was in good running condition, the guy who picked it up even drove it before loading it in the tow vehicle. How can city workers be so cold to decide that a car is in a state of disrepair just because I was not using the vehicle? Please enlighten?
