2nd Offense in PC 647(F)

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California

I'm a full time student and have a part time job in northern california. I've been arrested twice, in the same town, in southern california. These arrests took place within 5 months of each other.

For my first offense I got a fine around $450, which I paid off before my second offense.

I assume I'll get more than just a fine for the second offense.
I'm hoping I'll get AA or a summary probation... not jail time.

If i get a sentence that requires community service or AA classes...
would the court allow me to do these in the city i reside in?

Should we be assuming that you live somewhere other than where you go to school? You can work out the details with your probation officer. I've not seen people have much difficulty getting permission to attend AA meetings in any convenient location, but sometimes probation officers are wary about where defendants do community service. (Some people, left to their own devices, try to find places to do their community service where they're poorly monitored, or where their attendance isn't monitored at all.)

i know its possible to get up to a year in jail.
but is it likely that i'll receive jail time?

also,
would i be able to address the judge and explain that im a student, have a job, and other responsibilities... and that i would like to receive AA and probation instead?
