After I posted at 7:30 I found the page on the courthouse site with both the hours of operation AND the phone numbers (FINALLY!)...
And, THE PICKED UP ON THE FIRST RING! (None of the tales of all-day bust signals and endlessly being "on hold"! ) :-)
The gal on the courthouse phone said it looked like there was nothing for me (But she DID find me through the "case # hand-printed under the NTA's printed number (Upper Right Corner)...
She said to call the D.A.
I called the D.A.
She said something-something to the effect I'm in the clear ~ NOT "picked up the case", or any term we've used/heard before...
I called the court back to say so...
They said to call the D.A. back to CONFIRM...
I called the D.A. right back, same gal answered...
She understood and said her supervisor is preparing a "Turn-Down Letter" for me...
Would I like to come pick it up, or have it mailed?
Mailed, please. :-)
It should be here in a week :-)
I called the court back and triple confirmed there is FOR SURE, FOR SURE, FOR SURE _NO REASON_ for me to go to the courthouse...

I asked if I should carry the "Turn Down Letter" with the NTA on me for the next couple of years...
"If that will make you feel better"...
Well, at least FOR NOW ~ YES! :-)
I asked if I need to show this to County Probation & County Sexual Assault Services: Yes...
"That's going to be _SO_ embarrassing... But, NOT as embarrassing as the alternative!"

I need to head to the bank and put all this cash back :-)
I asked repeatedly, and FOR SURE, FOR SURE, FOR SURE there is NO REASON for me to pay ANYTHING to ANYONE... Not even an "Administrative Fee", or ANYTHING! :-)
I AM ___SO____ BLESSED! :-)

She took just about everything with her this time ~ Everytime she takes off she ends up with less & less "stuff" ~ It's really SAD...

What I'd TRULY like to do is get her some in-patient care for a couple of months, or so... Get her back on the Seratonin Reuptake Inhibitor she was on before stopping when she turned 18... Just get her back "on track"...
I don't see THAT happening this morning... Just taking it one minute at a time with her, for now... <sigh>
