Then you are really going to be upset now.

No judge in any jurisdiction will force a parent to allow a child to associate with someone that parent does not wish their minor child to associate with.

    your parents win.

is there anyway that any kind of abuse could be proven because I mean my brother pays the bills most of the time and if he doesn't the power gets cuts off and if he is already on medicine and he threatens suicide and they encourage it? I just feel like i am in such a corner

If he is being abused, call child protective services.

However, nothing you describe will approach abuse.

I would think it would be considered mental abuse. If the parents are if I understand correctly is telling him to commit suicide and calling him names and saying they disown him. You can't treat your own child that way. I would call Social Services and see what they say about it. Best intrests of the child is what should be looked at here. And clearly being in a home and being mentally abused is not in the best intrest of any child.

And where did you get your mental health degree? Further, you really feel comfortable in a diagnosis via internet board?

First, we are hearing all this third hand.

Secondly, it sounds that, more accurately, the little drama kid is threatening to suicide if mom and dad doesn't do what he wants and they are saying, "Go ahead...." to show that he won't win.

Happens all the time. Not abuse.

You can't treat your own child that way
Post statute that backs this up please. I don't see where parents have to give into teen age drama or lose their child.

    Oh stop.

There isn't any evidence of mental abuse here except what a very unhappy teenager tells a ear willing to listen to everything.

I suggested calling child protective services. They will investigate.

Mom and Dad, however, do NOT have to let Sonny start dating ANYONE, much less men. Period, end of story.
