    Default Shoplifting at Department Store

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Colorado
Hi. I am a 30 year old woman caught shoplifting at Kohls. I took some clothes for my children and some stuff for my husband about $538.00. I have never done anything like this before but was desperate since I do not work and couldnt afford anything. I was caught and had to sign papers saying I was never allowed back in the store. The police came to issue me a ticket and give me a court date but I was not arrested. They also said that it was not a felony due to the amount. I have a court date and I am scared to death. I cant eat or sleep and it is affecting my whole life. What should I do? Do I just go to the court and plead guilty? I am so confused. Please help!!

    No.
Call a few criminal lawyers who advertise free consultations.

    Good luck.
