    Default North Carolina Possession and Paraphernalia Ticket

    My question involves criminal law for the state of: North Carolina
    i got a ticket for posession of having less that one half oz of marajuana and i got a paraphernalia ticket for havein a open blunt wrap a few weeks ago my records are clean so far never been involved with the law can someone tell me the consequences and what i need to do about these charges thanks.

    Maximum penalties for NC are here.

    As a first offender with a clean record, you're not going to get much from the possession charge - NC has largely decriminalized marijuana, and treats first offenders as if they're minor traffic offenders.

    As for the paraphernalia charge, as a first offender with a clean record, you're likely eligible for conditional release and probation. Upon completion of probation, your record will be expunged.
