Default Chapter 7 and My Income Tax Return

My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Tennessee

I have just started the process of filing for Chapter 7 on Monday. My question is will I be able to keep my Income Tax Return in Feb? I have read a few of the posts about this question but I didn't know if it mattered what state you were in. I'm loosing my house so I need it to get moved into a new place. Thank You

Talk to your bankruptcy attorney about this. You will likely have to account for the money to your trustee.

first i dunno if you filed pro se' or with the help of an attorney.
you should have filed your taxes first before you filed the bk.
so therefore you could have put that as exemption.
im not sure how much you are getting however in every state theres always an exemption. you might be able to keep some or keep them all.
