My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California
Hello. This questions is regarding a commercial space recently leased in the state of California. Last week my husband and two friends decided to rent a commercial workspace, to divide three ways. The lease was signed last week (is less than thirty days old). Now one of the parties who is on the lease has decided they no longer want to be part of the arrangement (after the lease has been signed). The third partner was out of town when the lease was signed, and will be added to the document this week. He is interested in taking the place of the partner who is on the lease (who has changed his mind and wants out). Is it possible to transfer the lease if the remaining two partners are still interested in continuing the terms of the lease? Is it possible for the third member to get out of the arrangement at all? All deposits have been paid, etc. Thanks so much!
