My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: WASHINGTON

Okay so i am 16 almost 17 and i my parents are devorced. my evil step mother hates my guts and my dad won't let my real mom calls us,email us or even let her send letters.

so i didn't know where i should post this so i posted it here so here is my question:
what is the legal age to pick which parent i want to live with? and if i wanted to move in with my real mom does my dad have to sign something?

please i really need to know before the 7th because my dad and step mother are out of town and i am staying at my friends house and if i don't get reply before the 7th then i won't be able to check this web page because my dad will see on the internet logs that i was here and he would be very mad!

You can contact your mom and ask her to seek changing the custody order.

i don't think i can stand another year and a half in this house! I called my mother from a pay for (she lives here in washinton) and she has an extra bedroom. she has a job! my step mother puts me down and my father lets her! i am going to go somewhere that i am loved!!!!!!!

The ways to do that are only one... until your mother petition the courts for custody AND she proves she is the right place for you, you stay where you are.

no because everyone on my dads side of the family is RICH they lent him there lawers and gave him money (my dad is the youngest of 8 ) and the only reason my dad won custody of us is because my mother ran out of money. also unlike my father she is an only child and she parents are dead -.- she has hope she just can't afford another 7 year long court fight so you see i am taking matters in my own hands and if i have to i will walk the stupid 14 miles to the court house and ask them what i should do. and i know someone reading this might think i'm crazy. but im not i am determined!
