Default 1999 Ford Explorer Ball joints fixed, broken 2 months later

I recently failed an inspection due to faulty ball joints in my Explorer. I had them replaced at a Local Mobil Station mechanic at a cost of over $600. The car was not driven for 2 months. Then when i started driving it again I had to take it for an oil change at the Ford dealership where they told me that one of my ball joints was faulty and was unsafe to drive. The car had only been driven a total of about 500 miles since the last ball joint replacement. Is there anything I can do to get that work done again for no charge at the Mobil mechanic. I don't know if there is some kind of law about that or if I am on my own. Any help is appreciated!

    Default Warranty

You need to check the warranty offered by the service center, as well as that on the part itself. (Did you purchase a used or reconditioned part?)
