My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California
Here is the deal. I want to move out and I do not want to give my landlord the customary 30-day notice. I am not tied to a lease. I am paying month to month. Furthermore, I do not care about the deposit. He can keep it.
What happens if I move out without giving him notice and without staying in the unit beyond what I paid for? What can he do? I read a lot of "you must give your landlord 30-day notice" stuff but no one seems to explain the consequences.
Thanks
G.
