All background checks are not created equal.

Further, government moves at the speed of, well, government... and even running the same check run 5 years ago may find something that was posted since.

Our crystal ball is out of service... why not just take care of the warrant?

You really do need to get the warrant taken care of or it is going to follow you around & cause you possible problems all of your life.

Now let me think... Why is it that I don't have a warrant. Can anybody help me out here?

Hire a lawyer and try to negotiate an up-front deal for when you turn yourself in. Or don't, and see what happens as a consequence of having the unresolved warrant over the course of the rest of your life.

Whelp, you can either walk in or be dragged in wearing stainless steel jewelry.

    Your choice.

OH OH, I know this one!!!

Because you never committed a felony??

    What do I win???

This kinda stuff hacks me off... these folks make it sound like they tripped and when they stood up, they had a felony.

That it is all the MAN's fault.

OP, you are an RN. You have people's lives in your hands every day. You tell them to trust you.

Time to be a grown up.

If the warrant is for a felony, the OP may not remain licensed as an RN if it comes to arrest.

All the more reason to manage it.

An outstanding warrant will still appear.
