Default Macy is Pursuing Criminal Charge

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Massachusetts

I got caught with clothes in my bag today at Macy's in Massachusetts worth about $200.
I had to pay $500 civil fine on the spot. They put me in security room and they made me sign bunch of papers saying something like I acknowledge that I tried to shoplift and admit my wrongdoing and also I would be arrested if I came to Macy's store anywhere in the country. And in addition a paper saying that Macy is going to pursue criminal charge against me. The person I was talking to said that she wanted to go home so she wouldn't call the cops. But she said I should expect a mail in 4~6weeks with my court date.

It was really really.. stupid and I just want to know what to expect..

    1. This was my first offense and I have a clean record. But also I'm 21. Should I expect jail time? what would be my likely verdict? if a fine how much should i expect?

    2. I applied for a full-time job recently and was offered an interview on Jan 15th. Should I tell my possible future employer about this?

    3. I'm also an international student at a public university. How would it affect my student visa status at school? also would I be sentenced with heavier offense because I'm an international student?

This is the stupidest thing I have ever done in my life. I am so lost. What should i do next till i get my letter with the court date?

Expect jail? Not likely. Verdict guilty. Fine less than $500.00

Thats up to you but if they find out it could cause problems

    3. I'm also an international student at a public university. How would it affect my student visa status at school? also would I be sentenced with heavier offense because I'm an international student?
It would be best to consult a criminal defense attorney who is also familar with immigration law
