The landlord stated the deduction that I was not going to recover my security deposit because I failed to give her 28 days notice. Then, she was charging me $285 for cleaning of the apartment.
I told her my last day was September 30th, in which I put the keys in her mail box on the 27th of September. I did not receive a letter from her concerning the security deposit until October 22nd (that was the post mark of the letter).
Did she violate the 21 day rule?
