My question involves divorce in the State of: Tennessee
I will try to make this short. Married to an illegal from mexico, female, in 2002. In 2004 applied immigration papers. 2006 we had a hearing in Jaurez Mexico and since she tried to cross illegally in 1999 and got caught she was hit with a 10 year bar from entering the u.s. It has been 2 years since I have seen my wife while she was in mexico. I told her 6 months ago that no laws would change and I cant continue this for 8 more years. I wanted to move on and get divorced. Move forward 4 weeks ago she has again illegally crossed the border and has appeared on my door step wanting back. I have already filed for divorce for which she is furious and the more i talk to her the more she is mad I wont give her any more money. I think $15,000 in the last 2 years is enough. Anyhow I dont know what to do from here. She will not leave me alone, keeps calling and such. I is refusing to sign the divorce papers unless she gets a whole lot of money. Can I get into trouble is she is caught again by immigration since I know she is here? Can i get divorced without her signing papers? Is she still entitled to half the house since we bought it while married even though she never worked and I supported her? Not sure where to go from here?
