I've consulted a few different lawyers lately and the advice I've received from them is different. I'm hoping perhaps you could shed some light on my case for me. I'm planning on filing for divorce and I have a young daughter. I also want to leave the state and know that I need permission of the courts to do so.
One lawyer tells me to file for divorce and sole custody and not to mention that I want to leave the state and leave visitation open for my husband to see my daughter as frequently as he wishes(I have no problem with him seeing her as often as he chooses although it's very rare that he does see her now .)
Another lawyer whom I've consulted with advises me to not only file for divorce and custody but to ask for the courts permission at that time for me to leave the state. My reasons for wanting to leave the state are not to keep my daughter from her father but to be closer to my family and the cost of living is much more affordable. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.Thank you for your time
