My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: North Carolina
I am sixteen years old, and would like to be emancipated by June. I have just started a new job and although my grades have not been great, I'm working to pull them up. Next year I hope to start a program called 'middle college', which gives you a high school degree and also allows you to attend college classes for no cost. I have been looking for affordable apartments with my friend (who I plan to move in with in June) and have found a few possibilities. My Mother and I have never been able to live together peacefully, but over the last year it has really gotten out of hand. I'm afraid that if we continue to live with each other one of us will end up killing the other. My home situation has me so constantly stressed that my hair has been falling out in handfuls. She is completely erratic and paranoid. Is this enough reason to be emancipated? Also, if someone could provide an example of how the reasons should be formatted, it would be greatly appreciated.
