My question involves child support in the State of:
Colorado/Kansas & Texas...
(This is really screwed up, but this is whats going on and I don't know what to do to stop it, ANY advice you can give me will be beneficial and I thank you in advance)
THIS WHOLE POST IS FOR ONE CHILD ONLY
Basically my ex lived in Colorado, where i was paying child support and things were "normal"...
She then moved to Texas...so eventually Colorado turned the case over to Kansas where I reside...
And, Texas also is charging me with child support...
The balances for both keep going up the same amount EVERY month for the SAME ONE CHILD, but ironically enough they are different amounts for this same child.... ??? ....
For one child I am making payments to Kansas & Texas for over a year now!! How is this legally possible and what can I do about it? Please help as I have kids and a wife in my home and its very hard to take care of them if that extra money is just being put "somewhere" especially this time of year...and shouldn't I be able to get back what I have paid to Colorado since Texas started charging me?
Is it possible that she maybe didn't report to the prior state she resided in that she moved out of state and is basically collecting two payments for the same child?
I don't know if this matters or not, but I am married and have two children (not related to my ex) in my home full time....Please, Please any advice??![]()
