Burglary in California

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California

My wife recently got arrested for trying to take a number of dvd movies from a costco store. The merchandise she tried to take out was worth under $160. She was arrested and taken to jail. Once there she was booked and put on the system. Her bail was set at $10,000 but i only ended up paying 10% of it, which was $1,000, to get her out. She has her court date in less than 15 days and i want to know what can happen to her. Would it be better if I get a lawyer for her to represent her?

She is facing criminal charges and a likely crimnal record yes she needs an Attorney!

You posted this as burglary, not in the shoplifting forum. Are you telling us that she's charged with commercial burglary?

Yeah she was charged with commercial burglary. Any suggestions?
