    Default Mortgage Lien

My question involves real estate located in the State of: California

I'm in the process of divorce and my soon to ex-wife had a problem with an insurance company and now i have just received a letter that the insurance company issue a lien on my house.

My soon to be ex-wife sign off the property more than 5 years ago, and I have already refinance the property twice.

She is not in the title of the house, but can they still do something on my property, even if she is not on the title?

Talk to your divorce lawyer about how you might be able to get it resolved out of the marital estate, or compel your wife to pay it off as part of the divorce judgment.

Thank you very much for your assistance. So even if she is not in the title, they can put a lien on the house?

    Thank you.
