    Default Severance Pay

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: KS

Upon my termination the boss verbally promised to pay me for the remainder of the year (4 months). HR acknoweledged this agreement in a couple of emails. He made 1 payment and then 2 "vacation" payments and then the payments stopped. Do I have any legal recourse to the remainder of the promised severance payments?

You can see whether or not an attorney agrees that a contract was formed by the promise and the e-mails.
