My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Virginia
I am employed at a company where I thought I was considered Salary exempt which means I get paid if I am off or late etc, by the same token I do not get paid overtime. Well, last week I sprained my ankle and missed the day and Thursday and Friday were paid holidays. When I got my paycheck this morning they docked me for the day saying I had used up all my sick and vacation time. Is this legal?
