    Question Emancipation the Only Option

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Colorado

I am asking this question on the behalf of my fiance, who is 16 years old, and living in Colorado. My fiance's mother is verbally, and sometimes physically, abusive. It is affecting her ability to concentrate in school, and her ability to have a concrete emotional base in order to deal with every day conflicts, and she would like to move away from her home in Colorado. The problem is she said she is not ready to be on her own, and is seeking a guardianship-like agreement with my grandmother... her mother will not let her move out though. Is there a way to have her legally living in my grandmothers home until she graduates highschool, or is emancipation her only option?

Emancipation is not an option either, since CO does not have a statute for the emancipation of a minor.

If her mother will not allow her to move out, that's the ball game until she is 18.
