    Default Theft by Deception

My question involves an eviction in the state of: new jersey (camden county)

I own townhome in which a tenant moved in (sept 27th) and paid the 1st month rent and security deposit with an out of state check to a closed account. The eviction paperwork was filed around the 20th of October. I have yet to receive a court date. She (the tenant) refueses to leave and calls the incident "unfortunate". Do I need to wait for the court date for the eviction before I can persue pressing criminal charges? I do not want her to disappear before I can nail her? I am living out of state (florida) and I am in jepordy of falling behind on my mortgage payments. I'm ready to throw her and her stuff out and deal with the consequences. Please advise.

If you wish to try to pursue criminal charges, file a police report.
