My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: Orange County, Florida.
I live in an apartment complex and ever since I moved here theres always an issue with parking. Because of my schedule, theres no available parking when I get home, and I live in Florida where its always raining and I have a child and Im a single mom so Its not safe to park a block or 2 away within the same neighborhood, as I have my child and lots of bags when I get home at night in the dark.
Well my roommate and I went to the front office about the parking issue and they stated to park in the yellow fire zone so everyone and their mother has always parked there, my problem is that while everyones schedule differs, my car stays there until the next day and just recently ive been starting to get tickets, I can take pictures and start blogging all these incidents where theres no parking and theres atleasr 10 cars parked in the yellow no parking zone, but I wake up to find tickets or get home to find these tickets because my vans the last one there.
My question is what can I do about this, my apartment does not have reserved parking as Id like them to, another neighborhood I talked to from my childs bus stop says he sees people from the apartment complex next door parking in these spots also. Who is responsible for these tickets? I have a clean driving record and never had a ticket in my life and the onyl reason id park in these zones is because theres obviously no parking available when I get there. Id just like to know my rights. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
