My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: IL
I had a doctors note for one weeks time. My doctor wanted me to not spend more than 45 minutes in the car due to the plantar fascitis I was diagnosed with. It didn't say I couldn't work..I was perfectly happy working at locations closer to home. Just that I wouldnt be able to get to my farther locations.
My boss denied me that option ..stating I had to be in certain locations that required hours of drive time. Weeks later, I am still in pain that is almost crippling.Sometimes I cannot walk without assistance. In a five year history with this company .. I've maybe called in sick twice. I haven't bothered with anothers doctors note..because they don't allow me to follow them.
Do I have any rights in this matter ? I'm not looking to be out on FMLA .. I like my job and am not one of those people who abuse or work the system.
This boss also does things like calls on your vacation and makes you turn in reports and constantly questions you..makes you attend conference calls, etc. Even though you're supposed to be off.
Do I have any rights at all ?
