I didn't say it wasn't going to be on my record! I asked if doing community service they assign would possibly not put it on my record. Because I have been told there is a variety of things you can do so it doesnt

I was technically "arrested" but I was never put in handcuffs or a cop car, he let me follow him up to the police barracks. Unfortunately I got fingerprinted and got my picture taken. He was really nice to me at least. He said I may hopefully just have to pay for the fine and not have to go to court.

That technically part is the part that will continue to bite you in the behind. It will show up on your background check regardless of the disposition with your case.

I was told that doing certain things like community service, and taking a certain class could help by them excusing it. I was told it also depends on the person you're dealing with

It depends on many things. However as we stated even if you get diversion and dismissal its still possible a background might pick it up
