My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: NJ
Background: Gentleman upstairs walks and runs around barefoot on concrete floors. This goes on till 2:00AM and returns at 8:00AM. This has been going on every day Monday through Friday and lasts all day Saturday and Sunday.
Attempts at resolution: Rental management has been contacted several times. They sent a wimpy letter. Response has been lethargic and management avoids coming to the phone to chat and says send an email. No response to emails. Rental office claims manager has no vm. Spoke to the gentleman upstairs....was clear that he was not interested in wearing flip flops etc.
Question: What can i do to fix this? Can I sue the renter upstairs? Will the cost involved be huge?
