My question involves child support in the State of: North Carolina
My Mexican husband is an undocumented alien, he is going to be deported very soon. We got married here in North Carolina 4.5 years ago. I will not be going to Mexico with him. We have 3 little babies together. My 3 babies and I are all American born citizens. My question is, will I be able to get child support from the courts or from child support agency? Supposing that he won't pay me the child support, will our courts enforce that and give me child support payments or will they say, "sorry, you're on your own." Another part to my question is, do I have to already have a divorce from him to get the child support, or can I get it before the divorce is final? I know that in the state of NC we must prove one year of legal separation before the divorce is final.![]()
