My question involves court procedures for the state of: Missouri
My wife is being pursued for recovery of her fathers debt on a RV.
Her father travels for his job quite a bit, and lives from hotel to hotel when on business (no permanent address). On/Off for the last 2 years he has used our address for his mailing address. Well apparently he defaulted on payments for his RV. He also stored his RV in a storage facility when he traveled during the winter of 2005/2006. During those months he had her write a check to pay the monthly fee for the storage shed (she often paid some of his bills when he was on the road).
Well now they are accusing her of "hiding" the RV.
I don't know what to do. We have very little savings and Im not sure how to afford defense for this. Do they even have a case against her? They want her to answer some Interrogatories regarding her involvement. She has nothing to hide and did nothing wrong. Are these things standard, and should she answer all of these questions?
