Default H1 Restamping, Existing Visa Status - Valid

When i came to US, My visa was with Company A, which was stamped in 2006.
So, my existing Validity of Visa is until Oct-2009

I entered US in May 2007. after that, i switched/transferred my H1 to another firm and have been working with them for over a year.

I have to travel back to my native country for a duration of 20 days.

Considering I transferred my H1 From Company A to Company B, ( i have all the valid documentation, transfer documents, and pay stubs), by law, do i have to go back and get my stamping done again?

My Visa is valid until Oct-2009 from Company A, and i have a valid petition (I-797 until Aug 2010) from Company B
