    Default Retail Embezzlement

Hi All, I have a problem i really need advice in.Thanks in advance.
I was recently fired from my retail job for under-ringing purchases.
Store's AP brought me in to room and showed me evidence they had on me(transactions, time and amount). They told me that they already know i did it, they just want to know why who those people were that i under-rang and why i did it. I told them the truth. I pleaded with them. I signed a restitution note, promising to pay them back in the amount of over $600.
Police was called and an officer came, took my info down and gave me a citation for a court date with charges of misdemeanor embezzlement. Then told me that i could leave and remember to show up on my court date.
10 days after that, i paid up entire amount of the restitution agreement. I think that since i have done something wrong, if i make an effort to pay up the amount i owe them, maybe the judge will look at that and give me a chance in life?
I sincerely learned my lesson and i believe that i have to pay for it.
My question is, i had a clean criminal record before this incident. What will happen to me?Will the judge give me a chance and not convict me? I am not looking to get out of this. I understand i have done wrong but im wishing that my life will not be ruined and im scared that i will not be able to ever find a decent job, because of what i have done..
I am still young and i am sorry for this senseless mistake i made. I am actively looking for employment as i need money for school tuition. I am so scared of my future. I was in college, working towards going to law school but now that this has happen, my dreams are dashed. I am so, so scared.
Question is, if a potential employer is looking to hire me and does a background check on me, will this show?I am terribly afraid. I am at a loss and i cant afford a lawyer. I have not told my parents either as i do not want to disapoint them. Please, someone help me pls.
    Please Advise, Thank You.

    Default Embezzlement Charge

You will probably get probation, a fine, and some form of community service if convicted. You should consult a local criminal defense lawyer to see if there is any way you can avoid a criminal record.

It will look better for you in court that you have paid the restitution, the judge may be more willing to work with you. The evidence is strong against you, there is probably film and a paper trail which they already showed you. I'm with Mr. Knowitall you need to get some legal advice, you won't get it dropped but the sentencing can be reduced.

Hi! I am in a similar situation. How has your case proceeded? Were you convicted?
